About IGDN

Founded in 2000 by Pouya Golestaneh in Tehran, the Iranian Graphic Designers Network (IGDN) began as one of the first professional graphic design networks in Iran. Emerging during a time when the internet was still new to the country, IGDN built a community fueled by passion, collaboration, and a shared love for creativity.

Our Journey

  • Origins: The network’s roots trace back to a Yahoo Group called “Artistiran,” which grew into a vibrant online community of over 1,500 designers. This platform became a hub for sharing ideas, designs, and advertisements, laying the groundwork for what IGDN would become.
  • Innovation Focus: IGDN provided resources on topics like color management systems, book publishing, and the latest technological updates. It played a key role in supporting Apple enthusiasts under the brand “Iran Macintosh,” promoting iOS adoption, and even publishing the first Farsi-language book about the iPhone.
